Swetha Menon N. P. brings extensive academic and research experience in fashion designing, garment technology, and sustainable textiles to the Department of Fashion Designing at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram. Her work spans apparel production, pattern making, textile innovation, sustainable materials, and fashion research, with a strong emphasis on integrating contemporary industry practices into academic learning.

She believes fashion education is most effective when creativity is complemented by technical expertise and real-world exposure. Her teaching approach emphasizes experiential learning through design projects, industry interactions, research activities, and skill-based training that encourage students to innovate while addressing sustainability and emerging trends. Alongside teaching, she actively contributes to research, publications, curriculum development, and industry collaborations, mentoring students to develop the knowledge, confidence, and professional competencies required to excel in the global fashion and textile industry.
