As per the sanctioned allocation, each Assistant Professor may guide up to 4 scholars, each Associate Professor up to 6 scholars, and each Professor up to 8 scholars. However, in accordance with SRM norms, a maximum of 2 scholars may be allocated to a supervisor in any given session, irrespective of designation.

Industrial Visit “Software development and Testing”
The Department of Computer Science and Applications (MCA), Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, organized an Industrial Visit on Software Development and Testing to Retech Lasers, Varadharajapuram, Chennai, on 9 September 2024 for first-year MCA and MCA Gen AI students. The visit provided participants with practical exposure to software development processes, software testing methodologies, and industry-standard development practices. Students interacted with industry professionals to understand the complete software development lifecycle, quality assurance techniques, testing tools, and real-world project workflows. The industrial visit effectively bridged the gap between classroom learning and industry expectations, enhancing students' technical knowledge and professional awareness.

The Department of Computer Science and Applications (MCA), Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, organized the Industry Institute Interaction Meet (I3M) 2025 – Smart Globe 5.0 on 10 September 2025. The session focused on emerging education trends, research opportunities, and career prospects in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML). Industry experts from Capgemini and HCL Technologies shared valuable insights with faculty members, research scholars, and UG/PG students, bridging the gap between academia and industry.
