Ph.D Research Programs
Doctoral
As per the sanctioned allocation, each Assistant Professor may guide up to 4 scholars, each Associate Professor up to 6 scholars, and each Professor up to 8 scholars. However, in accordance with SRM norms, a maximum of 2 scholars may be allocated to a supervisor in any given session, irrespective of designation.

The Department of Language, Culture and Society, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, organised a Guest Lecture on "Transition from Romanticism to Victorianism: Themes, Texts, and Literary Forms" on 10 February 2026 for B.A. English students, delivered by Dr. K. Nagamani, Assistant Professor, LCS, who explored the evolution of literary themes, key writers, and narrative techniques shaped by industrialization and social reform—enhancing students' analytical skills and deepening their appreciation of literary history.

The Department of English and Other Foreign Languages, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, organised an Educational Trip cum Guest Lecture for B.A. English students to the Department of English, Anna University, Chennai, on 8 October 2025, where faculty members Dr. T. Shrimathy Venkatalakshmi, Dr. P.R. Sujatha Priya Dharshini, Dr. Veena Sevam, and Dr. M.S. Geetanjali delivered talks on "The Nuances of Language Learning" and students explored the department library, offering an enriching, experiential learning exposure that fostered inter-institutional collaboration and academic growth.
The Department of English and Other Foreign Languages, through The Language Elites – The Quiz Club & Commemorative Club, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, organised a quiz competition titled "Gandhi's Teachings: A Knowledge Celebration" on 6 October 2025 to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary, engaging FSH students in interactive quiz rounds on his philosophy, life, and principles of nonviolence and truth, thereby fostering critical thinking, healthy competition, and a deeper appreciation of Gandhian values among participants.
The Department of English and Other Foreign Languages, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, organised a French Guest Lecture titled "Towards Perfect Pronunciation" on 9 October 2025, delivered by Ms. V. Vidhya, Assistant Professor of French, Women's Christian College, Chennai, for over 70 first-year UG French students, offering phonetic tips and interactive demonstrations that helped participants master the nuances of French pronunciation through an engaging, culturally enriching session.
The Department of Commerce (PA, ISM, IAF & SF), School of Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, organised a Faculty Immersion Programme on "Tax Audit and ERP Systems" on 8 August 2026 in association with Hrudyaa AdConSer Private Limited, featuring sessions by Mr. Vinog on practical tax audit and taxation updates, and Mr. Karthikeyan on ERP systems and their advantages and challenges—providing faculty members valuable industry exposure to strengthen academia-industry collaboration and enrich classroom teaching with contemporary practices.
