Student's Grievance Redressal Committees (SGRC)

In order to comply with the provisions of the University Grants Commission (Redressal of Grievances Of Students) Regulations, 2023 notified on 11/4/23. The Students Grievance Redressal Committees (SGRC) is hereby constituted with the following members for considering the grievances of students of all Faculties / Institutions of SRMIST at Ramapuram Campus.

  • The term of the Chairperson and members shall be two years.
  • The quorum for the meeting including Chairperson but excluding Special Invitee shall be three.
  • The copy of the grievance received through the online portal will be forwarded to the Chairperson by the Associate Director [Student Affairs].
  • The committee shall fix a date for hearing the complaint and send its recommendations, if any, to the Registrar and a copy may be marked to the student within 15 working days from the date of receipt of the complaint.
  • Any student aggrieved by the decision of the SGRC may prefer an appeal to the Ombudsperson within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of the decision.
