Bio

Mr. S.G. Veeralakshmanan brings a vibrant combination of industry-relevant media skills and rigorous academic focus to the Department of Visual Communication at SRM IST. He completed his M.Sc. in Electronic Media from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, graduating with a strong academic standing, before pursuing his doctoral research focusing on contemporary digital discourses. His academic foundation is complemented by practical training, including a valuable film editing internship under a national award-winning editor.

As an educator, he is highly dedicated to making complex design and animation workflows approachable to students. He has designed acoustic audio production setups and actively guides practical courses in 3D modeling and animation software like Blender. He believes in bridging classroom concepts with real-world applications, encouraging students to engage in both creative media production and media research.
