Prof. Dr. Subramanian Senthilkannan Muthu is a leading specialist in environmental sustainability, with more than 10 years of professional experience working with brands, retailers, manufacturers, and sustainability organisations across the globe. He holds a Ph.D. in Eco-functional Textiles, Carbon and Eco-footprints, and Life Cycle Assessment from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He also holds an M.Tech in Textile Technology from PSG College of Technology and a B.Tech in Textile Technology from Bannari Amman Institute of Technology.

His professional expertise includes life cycle assessment of textiles and clothing, environmental and chemical management, carbon and water footprinting, ecological design, EPD verification, sustainability auditing, and supply-chain improvement. He has served in senior sustainability and consulting roles and has worked extensively on the Higg Index, product environmental footprints, recycling verification, and sustainable product development. He combines industry experience, research expertise, technical training, and academic engagement to promote practical and measurable sustainability solutions in textile and clothing systems.
