With over 14 years of diverse experience in journalism, content creation, and academia, Ms. P. S. Padmavathy has built a dynamic career at the intersection of media practice and education. Her professional journey spans roles such as News Producer, Special Correspondent, Online Editor, Freelance Content Writer, and short story writer, providing her with rich industry exposure and a deep understanding of evolving media landscapes. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, she is also pursuing a Ph.D., further strengthening her academic and research orientation.

Her areas of expertise include filmmaking, media laws, content writing, and digital news production. She is passionate about integrating industry insights into academic frameworks, enabling students to understand both the creative and regulatory dimensions of media. She has published two research papers in UGC Care-listed journals, two in Scopus-indexed journals, and one book chapter, and has presented papers at various international conferences
