N. Karthikeyan is a Sound Engineer with D.F.Tech from MGR Government Film and Television institute of Tamil Nadu. Government of Tamil Nadu and Film Technology educator with extensive experience in both the media industry and higher education. He began his professional journey in the audio post-production industry, worked with Media Artists(Present Qube Film Mastering Company) and Sujatha Recording Division, where he gained practical experience in production sound recording, dialogue editing, Foley, ADR, sound effects creation, music editing, audio mixing, and post-production for films, television programmes, documentaries, and commercial productions.

His industry experience has provided a strong foundation in professional audio workflows, enabling him to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world production practices. His areas of expertise include film sound design, production sound recording, digital audio workstations, immersive audio, surround sound mixing, audio restoration, and cinematic storytelling through sound.

He emphasizes hands-on training, project-based learning, and industry exposure to help students develop technical competence, creativity, analytical thinking, and professional ethics. He encourages students to explore innovative sound design techniques while understanding the artistic and technical aspects of filmmaking. His teaching philosophy focuses on preparing graduates with the practical skills, confidence, and professional mindset required to excel in the rapidly evolving film, television, and digital media industries.

N. Karthikeyan has worked alongside renowned Indian sound engineers, including Mr H. Sridhar,Mr K. J. Singh, Mr A. S.Lakshminarayanan, Mr.V. S. Murthy, and Mr.Deepan Chatterji, contributing to high-quality film sound production and audio post-production across multiple Indian film industries.
