Bio

Ms. S. Sasirekha is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at SRM Institute of Science and Technology – Faculty of Science and Humanities, Ramapuram. She is pursuing her Ph.D. in Computer Science at Vels Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies (VISTAS). She holds an M.Phil. in Computer Science from Mother Teresa University and an M.C.A. and B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Madras.

With over nine years of teaching experience and three years of research experience, she has consistently demonstrated excellence in academics, research, and professional development. Her teaching methodology emphasizes conceptual clarity, experiential learning, practical implementation, and industry-oriented problem solving. She believes that students learn best through hands-on activities, real-world case studies, and project-based learning that bridge theoretical knowledge with practical applications.

Her research primarily focuses on Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Image Processing, Computer Vision, Healthcare Analytics, Sustainable Waste Management, and Software Engineering. She has published seven research papers in reputed international journals and conferences, presented nine research papers at national and international conferences, authored academic books on Natural Language Processing and R Programming, and has three patents in emerging technologies. She actively participates in Faculty Development Programmes, workshops, and research collaborations to remain at the forefront of technological advancements. Through her teaching and research, she strives to inspire students to become innovative, ethical, and socially responsible computing professionals.
