Faculty

Mr. Arun.K is a faculty member in the Department of Film Technology at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, with expertise in Sound Recording, Sound Editing, Sound Design, Music Production, and Audio Post-Production. He is passionate about integrating industry-oriented practices into the classroom, enabling students to develop both creative and technical competencies in film sound.

His teaching interests include Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), Foley Recording, Sound Effects Design, Dialogue Editing, Music Editing and Mixing, Film Sound Aesthetics, Dolby Atmos workflows, and Audio Post-Production. He actively mentors students through practical projects, workshops, and live production activities, encouraging experiential learning and collaboration.

Arun is committed to bridging academic learning with current industry standards by incorporating emerging audio technologies and professional production workflows into the curriculum. His areas of interest also include immersive audio, film music production, recording studio practices, and multimedia content creation.

Through his dedication to teaching and innovation, he strives to equip students with the technical expertise, critical thinking, and creative vision required for successful careers in the film and media industry.
