Mr. D. Jocil, M.Sc., B.Ed., M.Phil., (Ph.D.), is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Applications, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram Campus, Chennai, with over 11 years of teaching experience, including one year at SRM Institute of Science and Technology. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Information Technology at Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, where his research focuses on Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSN), Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Network Security.

He has served in various academic and administrative roles, including Head of the Department, Examination Coordinator, Placement Coordinator, Digital Library In-charge, and LMS Administrator. His teaching interests include Programming Languages, Data Structures, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, Database Management Systems, and Wireless Sensor Networks.

Mr. Jocil has authored and presented several research papers in reputed international conferences and publications, particularly in the fields of underwater communication, cybersecurity, and trusted communication frameworks. His research contributions have been published in AIP Conference Proceedings, Springer, and other recognized academic platforms.

Committed to continuous professional development, he has successfully completed two NPTEL certification courses with Elite + Silver and has actively participated in numerous Faculty Development Programs, workshops, and seminars on emerging technologies, including cloud computing, blockchain, GitHub, autonomous drones, and intellectual property rights.

With expertise in Python, Java, C, C++, IoT, machine learning, and web technologies, Mr. Jocil is dedicated to advancing research, promoting innovation in higher education, and mentoring students to excel in academics, research, and industry-oriented learning.
