Bio
Dr. Sweetlin Susilabai S is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cyber Security at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Applications from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, along with MCA, M.Phil., and UGC-NET qualifications in Computer Science and Applications. With over 15 years of teaching experience, she has made significant contributions to undergraduate education, curriculum development, research, and academic mentoring.
Prior to joining SRM Institute of Science and Technology, she served as an Assistant Professor at Agurchand Manmull Jain College, Chennai, Annai Veilankanni's College, Chennai, and as a Lecturer at Wavoo Wajeeha Women's College, Kayalpatnam, and Kamaraj College, Tuticorin. Throughout her academic career, she has actively contributed to teaching, research, student mentoring, and institutional development.
Her research primarily focuses on Cloud Security, Cryptography, Data Security, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Secure Cloud Computing, and Big Data Analytics. She has authored books and book chapters and published research papers in Scopus-indexed journals, Springer conference proceedings, and Web of Science-indexed journals. She has also presented her research at numerous national and international conferences, contributing to advancements in secure computing and intelligent cyber security solutions.
Dr. Sweetlin believes that effective learning is achieved by integrating theoretical concepts with practical applications. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes outcome-based education, project-based learning, research-oriented activities, industry interaction, and experiential learning to prepare students for higher education, and successful professional careers. She actively mentors students in innovation, technical competitions, and skill development while promoting ethical, secure, and socially responsible computing practices.
