Dr. S. Uma Shankari is a passionate educator and researcher specializing in Data Analytics and Machine Learning. With a strong commitment to academic excellence, innovative pedagogy, and impactful research, she strives to bridge the gap between theoretical foundations and real-world applications. Her research interests encompass Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, and Cloud Computing, reflecting her enthusiasm for exploring emerging technologies and she fosters an inclusive learning environment that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, innovation, and lifelong learning.

Bio

Dr. S. Uma Shankari brings over 23 years of teaching and research experience in the field of Computer Science and Applications.

After completing her Ph.D. in Computer Science, Dr. S. Uma Shankari has built a distinguished academic career that seamlessly integrates teaching, research, and academic leadership. 

Her research focuses on Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Recommendation Systems, Quantum Computing, and Cloud Computing, with an emphasis on addressing real-world challenges through innovative computing solutions. She believes that effective computing education extends beyond theoretical knowledge and is best achieved through experiential, project-based learning that nurtures critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. 

Throughout her career, she has published more than 35 research articles in reputed Scopus journals and conferences, guided numerous student projects, and actively contributed to curriculum development, research initiatives, and industry–academia Collaboration.

  • Member- Board of Studies for BCA LLB, School of Excellence in Law at Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University,  Tharamani, for the period of 2015 – 2019.
