Dr. Suresh S is a passionate educator and researcher specializing in enzymology, biochemistry, and biotechnology. His research focuses on enzyme technology, phytase production and characterization, bioprocess optimization, and AI-assisted approaches for enzyme engineering. He is committed to making complex biological concepts accessible to students while fostering innovation, critical thinking, and research excellence.

Bio

Dr. Suresh S. is currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in the Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, Chennai. With a strong academic background in Biochemistry, Industrial Biotechnology, and a Ph.D. in Enzyme Technology, his expertise lies in enzymology, enzyme technology, and industrial biotechnology, with a particular focus on phytase production, characterization, and its applications in sustainable agriculture, animal nutrition, and biomaterials. He has over a decade of teaching experience and five years of dedicated research experience, with more than 25 peer-reviewed publications (cumulative impact factor exceeding 100), a book, two book chapters, and two patents.

Beyond teaching and research, he has held several academic leadership roles in research, innovation, international relations, admissions, and quality assurance. An active reviewer for reputed scientific journals, he has presented his research at international conferences across Asia and the Middle East and remains committed to advancing biotechnology through impactful research, academic collaboration, and student mentorship.
