Dr. Deepa S. is an experienced Assistant Professor in Computer Science specializing in Machine Learning, data mining, and the pedagogy of computer science. She holds a comprehensive academic portfolio, including a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Vels University, a UGC NET qualification in Education, alongside an M.Phil., M.Sc., BCA, M.Ed., and B.Ed. Professionally, she served as a Guest Lecturer at Tagore Government College of Education in Port Blair from 2011 to 2025, showcasing her duties in Question Paper Setting, Curriculum framework setting, Invigilation duty, Evaluation duty, Program Organization, Seminar, workshops Organization, Excursion duty, Conducting theory & Practical exams, Office works, Scrutinizing of B.Ed. and U.G.Ed.  application forms, Admission works, Internship Supervisor, Class teacher, Micro teaching practice, Cultural Program Organizer and Annual camp duty. Her extensive research profile focuses heavily on healthcare analytics, specifically using hybrid ensemble gradient boosting algorithms and data warehousing techniques to predict and detect diabetes mellitus. Dr. Deepa has a strong track record of scholarly publications in Scopus-indexed, Web of Science, and UGC Care journals, as well as multiple contributed book chapters. She has presented her findings at numerous international and national conferences, earning a Best Paper Award at ASCIS 2024.
