Dr R Praveen Kumar, Assistant Professor

Dr. V. Praveen Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce with over seven years of teaching experience across reputed higher educational institutions. He is a passionate educator who is deeply committed to students' academic, personal, and professional development. Believing that effective teaching extends beyond the classroom, he strives to create an engaging, interactive, and student-centric learning environment that inspires critical thinking, practical application, and lifelong learning. His academic interests include Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Entrepreneurship, and Human Resource Development. Alongside his dedication to teaching, he is actively involved in research and has published several articles in UGC CARE and Scopus-indexed journals.

Bio

Dr. V. Praveen Kumar completed his Ph.D. from St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), affiliated with Manonmaniam Sundaranar University. He also holds M.Com., M.Phil., B.Ed., and PGDCAB qualifications. Throughout his academic career, he has remained committed to excellence in teaching, research, and student development.

He has served as Assistant Professor in several reputed institutions, including Thiruvalluvar College, Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science, Loyola College of Arts and Science, and is currently serving at SRM Institute of Science and Technology. His teaching philosophy emphasizes conceptual understanding, practical learning, and research-oriented education.

His research primarily focuses on Human Resource Development, Human Resource Management, Small Scale Manufacturing Industries, Consumer Behaviour, Digital Marketing, and Banking Services. He has published multiple research articles in UGC CARE and Scopus-indexed journals and has actively participated in Faculty Development Programmes, workshops, seminars, and conferences to continuously enhance his academic and research competencies.
