Dr. M. Jayalakshmi brings over 15 years of teaching and research experience in the field of Psychology. After earning her Ph.D. in Sports Psychology, she has built a distinguished career that integrates classroom teaching with research across diverse disciplines within psychology.

She believes education is most effective when students actively engage with real-life experiences rather than learning theory alone. In her teaching, she emphasizes experiential learning, reflective practice, case-based discussions, and community engagement to help students apply psychological concepts in real-world settings. Her academic interests include health psychology, counselling, mental health awareness, and student well-being. She has authored research papers in the field of psychology and has guided student research projects, psychological awareness programmes, and extension activities that foster both academic excellence and social responsibility.
