Bio

Dr. K. Kottaisamy is an accomplished academician, researcher, and author with expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI), Biomedical Informatics, and Data Analytics. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Applications from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tamil Nadu, and has extensive teaching and research experience in higher education.

His research primarily focuses on developing intelligent, explainable, and trustworthy AI models for healthcare applications, particularly in chronic kidney disease prediction, clinical decision support systems, and human-centered AI. He is also actively engaged in interdisciplinary research involving smart healthcare, Internet of Things (IoT), computer vision, and data-driven intelligent systems.

Dr. Kottaisamy has authored numerous research publications in reputed journals and international conferences, contributed to book chapters, and holds intellectual property in emerging technologies. He actively serves as a reviewer for international journals and conferences and mentors undergraduate and postgraduate students in innovative research projects. His teaching philosophy emphasizes outcome-based education, practical learning, ethical AI, and bridging the gap between academic research and real-world applications.
