Bio

Dr. Rajendran is a biotechnology educator and researcher with extensive industry and academic experience. He began his career as a Medical Lab Technician at Jannath Medical Centre (2003–2006) before transitioning to academia. He served as an Assistant Professor at PRIST University (2020–2021) and has been a core faculty member at the SRM Institute of Science and Technology since July 2021.

Specialising in nanobiotechnology, plant, and animal biotechnology, his research targets the anticancer and bioimaging applications of nanoparticles. His work is widely published, and he holds a patent for a Biochemical Analyzer alongside a co-authored book chapter on cardiovascular health.

As a mentor, Dr. Rajendran supervises 2 Ph.D. scholars and has guided 20 student projects. He employs a continuous-learning teaching model that links theory with industry trends, backed by his completion of 11 specialized NPTEL courses. Committed to academic community building, he has organized 2 Faculty Development Programmes, 5

conferences, and 21 seminars, successfully bridging rigorous student training with professional employment pathways.
