Dr. C. Sahila is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce with over 16 years of academic experience. Her expertise spans Banking, Finance, Entrepreneurship, FinTech, Artificial Intelligence in Business, and Consumer Behaviour, with a strong commitment to research-driven teaching and outcome-based education.

Bio

Dr. C. Sahila is an accomplished academician and researcher with more than Sixteen years of teaching experience in Commerce and Management. She earned her Ph.D. in Commerce from Periyar University and also holds M.Com., MBA, M.Phil., and PGDCA qualifications. Since joining SRM Institute of Science and Technology in 2021, she has actively contributed to teaching, curriculum development, student mentoring, research, and institutional academic activities.

Her research interests include Banking and Financial Services, Consumer Behaviour, Financial Technology (FinTech), Artificial Intelligence in Business, Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Green Finance, and Sustainable Business Practices. She has published over thirty research papers in reputed Scopus, Web of Science, ABDC, and UGC CARE-indexed journals and has authored five textbooks in Commerce and Finance. She has also completed several SWAYAM–NPTEL certification programmes and regularly participates in national and international conferences, faculty development programmes, and collaborative research initiatives.

Dr. Sahila believes in integrating academic theory with industry practices through experiential learning, technology-enabled teaching, research-based pedagogy, and continuous innovation to prepare students for successful professional careers.
