Bio

Dr. Agalya VT Raj is an accomplished academician and researcher specialising in English Language and Literature. She is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of English. She has built a career centred on literary studies, cultural analysis, and innovative language teaching, while actively contributing to academic research and student development.

She believes language education is most impactful when it encourages critical thinking, cultural awareness, and meaningful engagement with literature. Her student-centred approach integrates interactive learning, research, and real-world perspectives to make literary studies both relevant and inspiring.

Over the course of her career, she has published 22 research papers in Scopus, Web of Science, and UGC-CARE indexed journals, participated in more than 200 seminars, conferences, and faculty development programmes, and has served as an NSS Programme Officer, NSS Coordinator, and University Exam Cell Coordinator, demonstrating her commitment to academic excellence and institutional service.
