Summary of the event

CyberNova 2026, the Cybersecurity Awareness Month, was organised by the Department of Cyber Security from 22.09.2026 to 01.10.2026 as a series of 12 activities (6 offline and 6 online) under the theme “Build a Safer Digital Tomorrow”. The month began with an inauguration on 22.09.2026, where Mr. Godwin Josh, Founder, RipeFlow LLC, delivered an awareness session on current cybersecurity challenges and digital threats.

Between 23.09.2026 and 30.09.2026 students took part in the Cyber Awareness Quiz, online poster making (Canvas), awareness programme, reels and memes competitions, Phish Hunt, CryptoQuest, the School Connect outreach session, the Hackathon and the Women Connect career session, covering phishing, passwords, privacy, social media safety, cryptography and careers in cyber defence.

The Cyber Excellence Awards & Valedictory was held on 01.10.2026. The programme concluded with the announcement of winners and the distribution of medals and certificates to the winners of the various events by the dignitaries, followed by a group photograph with the faculty members and the prize winners.
