Summary of the event

The One Week Virtual International Faculty Development Program (IFDP) titled “Global Research Pathways: Preparing for Post-Doctoral Fellowships and Research Paper Publication” was organized by SRM Institute of Science and Technology to enhance the research competencies of faculty members, researchers, and scholars. Conducted from 4 May to 11 May 2026, the program featured expert sessions by distinguished academicians from India and Malaysia. The sessions covered emerging research trends, research article writing, manuscript submission, publication ethics, identifying predatory journals, academic networking, and international research collaboration. Participants also gained valuable guidance on post-doctoral fellowships, funding opportunities, proposal writing, and strategies for building strong academic profiles. The program emphasized ethical publishing practices and the importance of interdisciplinary and globally collaborative research. A total of 468 participants from various institutions actively engaged in the sessions, making the program highly interactive and impactful. The IFDP strengthened participants’ research, publication, and networking skills while encouraging them to pursue global academic opportunities. Overall, the program significantly contributed to fostering research excellence, academic integrity, and a culture of innovation in higher education.
