KICKSTART 2026 – Orientation & Induction Programme for Freshers

The Department of Computer Science successfully commenced KICKSTART 2026 – Orientation & Induction Programme for the First Year B.Sc. Computer Science students on 08 July 2026.

The programme began with a warm Welcome Address by Mrs. Priyadharshini, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, followed by an inspiring Department Presentation delivered by Dr. Y. Angeline Christobel, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Computer Science, highlighting the department's vision, academic excellence, curriculum, research opportunities, and student achievements.

Mr. Udayakumar U., Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, introduced the distinguished chief guest, Mr. Shibin Christ, Deputy Manager – Implementation, AID India Pvt. Ltd., Chennai.

Mr. Shibin Christ delivered an insightful session on the career opportunities in Computer Science, emphasizing the essential technical and professional skills required to excel in the IT industry. His session motivated students to focus on continuous learning, problem-solving, communication skills, and industry readiness.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Mr. A. Vignesh, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science.

The induction programme also featured a series of engaging expert sessions:

•         Mr. P. Pravinkumar, CEO, PK Innovatives, shared valuable insights into career opportunities, entrepreneurship, and emerging technologies.

•         Mr. V. Yeshwanth, Customer Service & Operation Executive, NatWest Chennai, highlighted the essential skill sets and industry expectations for aspiring professionals.

•         Mr. Santhosh, Founder, Dot Interiors Private Ltd., delivered an inspiring session on entrepreneurship skills, motivating students to think innovatively, build leadership qualities, and explore startup opportunities.

•         Ms. A. Porselvi, System Associate, Infosys, explained the career opportunities available in the field of Computer Science and emphasized the importance of continuous learning and upskilling.

•         Mr. B. Akash, State Head, Collegedunia, conducted an informative session on the HR interview process, resume building, and placement preparation.

•         Mr. K.H. Kailash, Mainframe System Administrator, Kyndryl Solutions Pvt. Ltd., provided an overview of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and engaged students through interactive activities.
