The Department of Cyber Security, Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram Campus, organized an Industrial Visit and Faculty Immersion Programme at Askan Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Kottakuppam. The programme was designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practices by providing real-time exposure to cybersecurity operations, infrastructure, and professional workflows.

Askan Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is a technology-driven organization specializing in secure IT solutions and services. The company focuses on implementing robust cybersecurity practices, secure infrastructure management, and innovative technological solutions aligned with industry standards.

The programme commenced with a welcome and orientation session, during which representatives of Askan Technologies Pvt. Ltd. introduced the organization’s vision, range of services, and its significant role in the cybersecurity domain. This was followed by an in-depth technical session that provided detailed insights into contemporary cybersecurity frameworks, threat analysis methodologies, data protection strategies, and secure system architecture adopted in real-world industry environments. Subsequently, Faculties were taken through an infrastructure walkthrough, where servers, security mechanisms, and the operational workflows practiced within the organization were demonstrated. The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, enabling faculty members to clarify their doubts regarding industry expectations, required skill sets, emerging technologies, and potential career pathways in the field of cyber security.

The Faculty Immersion Programme at Askan Technologies Pvt. Ltd. was highly informative and beneficial. It successfully provided faculty with valuable industry exposure, strengthened practical understanding of cybersecurity concepts, and reinforced the importance of industry–academia collaboration. The programme contributed significantly to enhancing technical competence and professional readiness among participants.
