SUMMARY OF THE EVENT:

The department of Cyber Security organizes a guest lecture on "Emerging Opportunities in Cyber Security" on 07.07.2026 at Block V, Gallery Hall 3 for final year students. This guest lecture provides students with insights into the rapidly evolving field of cybersecurity and its growing importance in the digital era. The session highlighted the increasing demand for cybersecurity professionals due to the rise in cyber threats, data breaches, ransomware attacks, and the widespread adoption of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

The resource person discussed various career opportunities available in cybersecurity, including roles such as Cyber Security Analyst, Ethical Hacker, Penetration Tester, Security Consultant, Digital Forensics Expert, Cloud Security Engineer, SOC Analyst, Incident Responder, Malware Analyst, and Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst. Students were introduced to emerging technologies such as AI-driven security, Zero Trust Architecture, Blockchain Security, DevSecOps, and Cloud Security, emphasizing their impact on the future of cybersecurity.
