SUMMARY OF THE EVENT:

 One Day Workshop on Research Methodology
 Date: 23 February 2026

1.     A One Day Workshop on Research Methodology was organized on 23 February 2026 for the benefit of III BCA students. The objective of the workshop was to introduce students to the fundamentals of research and help them understand the process involved in conducting academic research.

2.     The program commenced with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by the welcome address delivered by the organizing team. The welcome speech set the tone for the event and highlighted the importance of research skills for students pursuing higher education and project work.

3.     The guest speaker, Dr. S. Sindhu Devi, was then introduced to the audience. She serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram.

4.     During her technical talk on Research Methodology, Dr. Sindhu Devi explained the basic concepts of research, starting from the meaning and importance of research to the formulation of a research problem and hypothesis. She presented the concepts in a clear and engaging manner using real-time examples, which helped the students understand how research methods can be applied in practical situations.

5.     The session was highly interactive and informative, enabling the III BCA students to gain insights into research design, data interpretation, and the role of hypothesis in research studies. The workshop helped students develop a better understanding of how to approach their academic projects and research assignments.

6.     The program concluded with the felicitation of the Chief Guest as a token of appreciation for her valuable contribution. Finally, the vote of thanks was delivered, expressing gratitude to the guest speaker, organizers, and participants for making the workshop a successful and enriching event.
