Objective of the Event

The orientation was held offline across Classrooms 204 in the East Block from 01:00 PM to 02:00 PM. The event was designed to introduce students to orient and empower first-year students by providing insights into academic expectations, institutional values, and personal development strategies. Through interactive sessions led by experienced faculty and professionals, the program aims to foster a sense of belonging, enhance emotional well-being, and equip students with effective coping mechanisms for stress and transition. Additionally, it seeks to build awareness on the importance of holistic growth, encouraging active participation in both curricular and co-

curricular activities.

SUMMARY OF THE EVENT

The Department of Commerce (B.Com General), Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, organized an inspiring Alumni Talk on the theme “Building a Successful Career Path.” The session featured Mr. L. Sangameshwaran, an accomplished alumnus from the 2020–2023 batch, currently serving as a Finance Executive at KUN BMW Motorrad – BMW India Financial Services Pvt. Ltd., Tamil Nadu.

The event was convened by Dr. J. Kumar, Associate Professor & Head of the Department, along with co-conveners Ms. R. Sindhu Premalatha and Dr. N. Anchana, Assistant Professors. Students actively participated in the interactive session, making it an enriching experience that bridged academic learning with real-world professional insights.

Target Audience:

All first-year undergraduate students from the Department of Commerce (B.Com) actively participated in this session.
