Profile of the Speaker
Mr. S. Kishore is a dynamic entrepreneur and an accomplished industry professional, as well as a proud alumnus of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Batch 2015–2018. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Chairscarte, where he has been instrumental in conceptualizing, building, and scaling a customer-centric business venture. As the Founder and CEO, Mr. Kishore leads the organization’s overall vision, strategy, and operations. His professional journey reflects strong expertise in entrepreneurship, business development, operations management, and strategic decision-making. He actively oversees end-to-end business functions, including product planning, supply chain coordination, customer experience, and market expansion, while fostering innovation and efficiency across the organization. Known for his entrepreneurial mindset, leadership skills, and hands-on approach, Mr. Kishore effectively bridges ideas with execution, turning challenges into growth opportunities. His career path highlights resilience, creativity, and continuous learning, making him a motivating role model for students and young professionals who aspire to pursue entrepreneurship and leadership roles in today’s competitive business environment.
Objective of the Event
The event was organized with the objective of providing a competitive platform for students to showcase their managerial, analytical, creative, and communication skills while gaining practical exposure to the field of commerce and business management. The event witnessed an enthusiastic participation of 240+ students from various colleges, making COMMEX’26 a vibrant and intellectually stimulating experience. The programme commenced with an inaugural session, followed by a series of well-structured academic, technical, and fun-based events conducted throughout the day.
Summary of the Event
The inauguration ceremony of our event was conducted successfully with great enthusiasm and participation. The program began with a warm welcome to the dignitaries, chief guest, head of the department, faculty members, and students. The ceremony started with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing knowledge, positivity, and a new beginning. The Chief Guest addressed the gathering and shared valuable thoughts, motivating the audience with inspiring words. The DEAN and VICE PRINCIPEL of the Institution also delivered a speech highlighting the importance and purpose of the event. The organizing committee explained the objectives and schedule of the program.The inauguration ceremony set a positive tone for the entire event. It marked the official beginning of the program and encouraged active participation from everyone present.
Session Report
The Commex event titled “DIGITAL DEFENDERS – A National Level Inter Collegiate Event” was conducted to provide undergraduate students with practical exposure to emerging challenges and strategies in the digital domain. The event was graced by Mr. S. Kishore, an esteemed alumnus, and the Founder and CEO of Chairscarte, who served as the chief guest and resource person for the programme.
The session aimed to enhance students’ understanding of digital security, online responsibility, and the evolving role of professionals in safeguarding digital platforms in today’s technology-driven world. Drawing from his entrepreneurial journey and industry experience, Mr. S. Kishore shared valuable insights into the importance of digital awareness, ethical practices, and innovation in building secure and sustainable digital ecosystems.
The resource person highlighted real-world scenarios, challenges faced by startups in the digital space, and the role of strategic thinking in defending digital assets. His interaction with students encouraged critical thinking, problem-solving, and a proactive approach towards digital threats. The session successfully connected academic learning with practical industry perspectives, making it both informative and inspiring for the participants.
Overall, the event proved to be an enriching experience, motivating students to become responsible digital citizens and future-ready professionals in an increasingly connected world.

BEST MANAGER
Description: The Best Manager event is designed to identify participants with exceptional leadership, decision-making, communication, and managerial skills. The event evaluates how effectively participants handle real-time business and managerial challenges. Mr. Haniel Paul, a dedicated commerce professional with a strong foundation in business operations, data handling, and analytical decision- making. He has gained valuable experience through internships at Valeo, TI Steps, and MOT International, contributing to product strategy, market research, and data-driven projects. Mr. Haniel is skilled in tools like Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL, and Python, showcasing a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. Currently pursuing his Master’s in Business Analytics and Marketing, he represents the spirit of continuous learning and professional growth.

BUSINESS PLAN PITCH
Description: The Business Plan Pitch encourages participants to present innovative and feasible business ideas, focusing on problem identification, solutions, market potential, and sustainability. Mr. Siddharth S K is a PhD Research Scholar in Commerce at SRM University and an Ex-Accenture professional with 1.5 years of experience in T&E Reconciliation and Audit. He has worked with SAP ECC, SAP Concur, and BlackLine, and has also handled Automation Anywhere, deploying bots to improve efficiency and accuracy.

TREASURE HUNT
Description: Treasure Hunt is a team-based event designed to test participants’ problem-solving skills, teamwork, and presence of mind through a series of clues that lead to the final objective. The event emphasizes logical thinking, coordination, and time management.

Mr. Akash Shankar K is a Commerce student and aspiring accountant with strong interpersonal and leadership skills. He has completed his Bachelor of Commerce from SRM University, Ramapuram Campus, and gained professional experience as an Accounting Intern at HROJAA Adconser Pvt Ltd, where he managed financial accounts and assisted in reporting and audits. He also worked as a Commercial Executive at Q-Zet Technologies, handling logistics, marketing, sales, and administration.
He has actively contributed to student leadership as Secretary of the Department of Commerce, earning recognition for his organizational and leadership abilities. His skills include GST, Tally, Microsoft Office, Zoho Books, and financial management, along with training in NPTEL and Digital Marketing courses.

Ms. Swetha Kumar is an Operations Head with years of hands-on experience in team coordination, workflow planning, and performance improvement. She has completed her B.Com from SRM Ramapuram and her MBA from Sree Sastha Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Currently serving as the Head of Operations at Devi Industries, she has been efficiently managing daily operations, ensuring smooth workflows, maintaining quality standards, and supporting teams to achieve operational excellence.

ADZAP
Description : AdZap is a creative and engaging event in which participants are required to design and present an impromptu advertisement for a given product or concept. The event aims to assess spontaneity, marketing skills, communication ability, and creativity. Emphasis is placed on innovative ideas, effective messaging, and engaging presentation rather than technical perfection.

He is an entrepreneur with 9 years of experience, including 4.5 years as a startup founder and CEO of two ventures — Ind by Chairs Cart (interior design) and Chairscart (manufacturing ergonomic office chairs and components). He specializes in building businesses from the ground up, leading turnkey interior projects, and managing manufacturing and supply chains. He is also a regular keynote speaker across colleges in Chennai, including SRM University, and a business content creator on YouTube and Instagram, sharing insights on entrepreneurship and real-world business experiences. Additionally, he serves as a Governing Council Member at SRM University and mentors students on entrepreneurship and career development.

Mr. Shiva K, fondly known as Shiva Anna. He is an Accounts Executive and the Founder of GPC – Game Production Company. He has completed his B.Com and MBA in Business Analytics and Finance from SRM. Along with his professional background, he is a music composer, vocalist, lyricist, and photographer. He runs his own game production and sales company, actively composes and sells original music, and performs live with his own music band. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by R. Rishee, III B.Com B, who, on behalf of the organizing committee, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Mr. S. He sincerely appreciated the management and faculty members for their constant guidance, encouragement, and support in organizing the event successfully.
