Summary Of The Event:
The Department of Computer Applications (BCA & BCA Gen AI), Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, successfully organized the two-day National Level Hackathon “CODEWAVE’26 – Campus Code League” on 10th and 11th March 2026 at Hi-Tech Hall in association with iDataMind, Retech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., and Inspire Group Companies. The event was inaugurated by Chief Guests Mr. Udayakumar Mathivannan and Mr. Arun Kumar E, followed by addresses from the Head of the Department, Dr. S. Uma Shankari, Dean Dr. S. Thirumagan, and Vice Principal Dr. N. Pugazhendi, all emphasizing innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence. The hackathon aimed to foster creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork by encouraging students to develop real-world technological solutions. It witnessed enthusiastic participation from 49 teams (out of 56 registered) across various reputed institutions, competing in Hardware and Software domains, with Software further divided into AI & ML and Full Stack Development. In the Software category, the first and second prizes were shared by two teams each, including participants from SRM Valliammai Engineering College and SRM Easwari Engineering College, while in the Hardware category, participants from SRM Institute of Science and Technology (Trichy Campus), Chennai Institute of Technology won the second prize, marking the event as a grand success.
