SUMMARY OF THE EVENT: 

INTRODUCTION - The awareness and orientation session commenced with an engaging ice-breaker activity titled "Find Someone Who…" to encourage interaction among the students and create a lively learning environment. Each student was given a set of simple prompts such as "Find someone who wants to become an entrepreneur," "Find someone who enjoys mathematics," "Find someone who has participated in a cultural event," or "Find someone who has visited our college before." Students moved around the hall, interacted with their peers, and identified classmates matching the prompts. The activity helped students overcome initial hesitation, build confidence, and actively participate in the session. Following the ice-breaker, Dr. S. Dhivya delivered a brief introduction to the school. She highlighted the institution's vision and mission, academic excellence, modern infrastructure, student-centric learning environment, and the various opportunities available for holistic development. Subsequently, Dr. Nimoshini provided a clear and informative explanation of the various student clubs functioning in the college. She emphasized how these clubs encourage students to develop leadership skills, enhance their talents, participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities, and contribute to their overall personality development. Next, Dr. Deepika presented an overview of the courses offered by the college. She explained the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, their unique features, career prospects, industry relevance, and the value-added learning opportunities available to students. The session concluded with Dr. S. Anchana, who delivered an informative presentation on the Placement and Career Guidance Cell. She explained the placement process, internship opportunities, industry collaborations, career counselling services, aptitude and soft skills training, and the continuous support provided to students in preparing for successful careers. The programme was highly interactive and well received by the students. The combination of the engaging ice-breaker activity and informative presentations created an enthusiastic atmosphere, enabling students to actively participate, clarify their queries, and gain valuable insights into the academic programmes, student development initiatives, and career opportunities offered by the college.
