Objective of the Event

The event aimed to foster academic curiosity among students while reinforcing SRM Institute’s commitment to education and intellectual growth. Through a quiz competition and the distribution of academic books to prize winners and class toppers, the event sought to encourage knowledge expansion and promote healthy competition.

Synopsis of the Event

Event Overview

The quiz competition was designed for students of grade 12 and covered a broad range of topics, including general knowledge, science, literature, and current affairs. The primary objective was to encourage students to expand their knowledge and engage in healthy competition.

Highlights of the Event:

Participation:

A total of 50 students from grade 12 participated enthusiastically. The students were divided into teams, with each team comprising four members. The competition was structured in multiple rounds, including rapid-fire, visual, and buzzer rounds.

Judging and Conduct:

The quiz was conducted by Dr.T.Rani, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce & Dr.S.Dhivya, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce . The questions were curated to be challenging yet accessible, designed to spark the students’ interest. Mrs.N.Radha M.A economics, M.A English, B.ed, Vice Principal Sri Sitaram Vidyalaya, Higher Secondary School, West Mambalam, Chennai from the school judged the event to ensure transparency and fairness.

Winners and Prizes:

After an intense competition, the following teams emerged victorious:

1st Place: Team A (Mr.Nanda Kumar. B 12A ) 2nd Place: Team B (Mr.Hritish R.S 12 A)

3rd Place: Team C (Ms.C.Nivetha 12 A)

As part of our initiative, books were distributed to the winning teams as prizes. These books were carefully selected to match the academic levels of the students, promoting continued learning and intellectual development. The first-place winners received a set of Quantitative Aptitude, while the second and third-place winners received Fundamental of Computer science & Commerce books.

GLIMPSE

The Department of Commerce organized a quiz competition at Sri Sitaram Vidyalaya for grade 12 students. The quiz covered diverse topics including general knowledge, science, literature, and current affairs. A total of 50 students participated, divided into teams of four. The competition featured multiple rounds such as rapid-fire, visual, and buzzer rounds, offering a dynamic and engaging experience for all participants. The winners were awarded academic books to support their ongoing learning.

Outcome

The event was highly successful, meeting both educational and brand-building objectives. Students, teachers, and school administrators expressed positive feedback, with participants showing enthusiasm for future events. The Principal, Mrs.G.Vasantha Kumari,Msc B.ed & Mrs.G.Prabavathi Bsc B.ed and other faculty members of Sri Sitaram Vidyalaya, Higher Secondary School,Chennai praised the initiative for its educational value and its ability to inspire students.

By promoting academic excellence and providing resources for intellectual development, the event reinforced SRM Institute’s reputation as a dedicated supporter of education.
