From Silence to Sounds: A Live Music Production Experience
SUMMARY OF THE EVENT
The Department of Film Technology, under the School of Media Studies at SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai Ramapuram, successfully organized an engaging and industry-oriented event titled “From Silence to Sound: A Live Music Production Experience” on 11th March 2026.
The event aimed to provide students with practical exposure to music production, sound design, and live performance integration, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world industry practices.
The session commenced at 9:30 AM in the Preview Theatre and featured renowned music composers Jose Franklin and SV Jerome, who conducted an interactive live demonstration of music production workflows.
OBJECTIVES OF THE EVENT
· To introduce students to live music production techniques
· To provide hands-on understanding of digital audio workstations (DAWs)
· To demonstrate composition, layering, and mixing in real-time
· To expose students to industry-level music production workflows
