SUMMARY OF THE EVENT:
The Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram Campus, organized an informative Alumni Talk titled “Bridging Science and Strategy: A Biotech Path” on 18 February 2026 at 9.00 AM for III B.Sc Biotechnology students. The session featured distinguished alumna Ms. Madhumitha P, QC Documentation Specialist and Microbiologist at Parikshan FSS Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, as the resource person.
The objective of the talk was to expose students to real-world industrial applications of biotechnology and to provide clarity on career pathways in quality control, microbiological testing, and regulatory documentation sectors. The speaker shared her academic journey, professional experiences, and practical insights into the functioning of industrial microbiology laboratories and quality assurance systems. She elaborated on the importance of precision, documentation standards, regulatory compliance, and analytical skills required in food safety and pharmaceutical industries.
The session also emphasized skill development, certification courses, internships, and training opportunities that can enhance employability in biotechnology industries.
