SUMMARY OF THE EVENT:

he Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram Campus, organized an insightful Alumni Talk titled “Biotech: Your Path Forward” on 11 February 2026 from 9.00 AM to 10.00 AM for III B.Sc Biotechnology students. The session featured distinguished alumna Ms. Vigneshwari Vannamathi T, currently serving as a Junior Embryologist at A4 Fertility Center, Chennai, as the resource person.

The talk aimed to provide students with practical exposure to career opportunities in biotechnology and to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional expectations. The speaker shared her academic journey, professional experiences, and the essential technical and soft skills required to succeed in the biotechnology and clinical research sectors. She highlighted emerging fields such as embryology, reproductive biotechnology, and clinical laboratory sciences, emphasizing the importance of specialization and continuous skill development.

The session also focused on guiding students about higher education pathways, certification courses, internships, and industry-oriented competencies that enhance employability. Through real-life examples and interactive discussion, participants gained insights into workplace challenges, ethical considerations, and professional growth strategies.
