Technical Workshop on Internet Security

Mr. PVSL Ganesh, Project Associate, CDAC, started the session with an introduction to internet usage, privacy issues, cybercrime, and health concerns.

He then demonstrated and explained the following concepts and Experiments

The session was aimed at equipping students with hands-on knowledge of Internet usage in safety manner.

He provided valuable knowledge about the utilization of internet in different aspects like

How to use strong unique passwords,

How to keep all software and operating systems updated

How to enable network encryption

How to utilize a firewall,

How to consider a VPN for added privacy

How to turn off network name broadcasting

And how to be cautious about suspicious emails and downloads.

The session provided an in-depth understanding of cyber safety.
