The Department of Visual Communication, School of Media Studies, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, organized a Guest Lecture titled “The Power of Voice in Visual Storytelling” on 13th March 2026 from 09:30 AM to 12:00 PM at 602, 6th Floor, PG Dental Block. The session was delivered by Mr. Barathraj Ravidass, a Voice Actor, Writer, and Filmmaker, who shared valuable insights into voice acting, dubbing, and narration in cinematic storytelling. The lecture focused on enhancing vocal expression, emotion modulation, and synchronization in films, web series, and documentaries. The session provided students with practical exposure and a deeper understanding of the role of voice in visual media, making it an engaging and informative learning experience.

The programme was convened by Dr. V. Prabakaran (Head, Media Studies). The event was arranged and coordinated by Dr. Salai Tamilarasan, with the support of student volunteers, ensuring the successful execution of the guest lecture.
