Topic : Road Map for Emerging trends in IT industry

Chief Guest : Dr. J.Abdul Rasheed, Associate Professor, The New College Chief Guest Intro :  Dr. S. Saradha , Associate Professor, SRMIST (F&H)

The Information Technology (IT) industry is rapidly evolving with the emergence of advanced technologies that are transforming businesses and society. A roadmap for emerging trends in the IT industry begins with building a strong foundation in programming, data structures, databases, networking, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. The next stage focuses on gaining expertise in cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning, Data Science, Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, Edge Computing, Quantum Computing, and Generative AI. Students and professionals should also develop practical skills through hands-on projects, internships, industry certifications, hackathons, and open-source contributions. Learning DevOps, cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud), automation tools, and software development practices further enhances career opportunities. Along with technical knowledge, essential soft skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, critical thinking, adaptability, and leadership are equally important for long-term success. Continuous learning through online courses, research, and industry updates helps professionals stay competitive in the rapidly changing IT landscape. By following this roadmap, individuals can prepare themselves for future technological advancements and build successful careers in the modern IT industry.

Topic : Agentic AI : The next  Frontier of Intelligent Systems

Chief Guest : Dr. G.Bharanidharan, Associate Professor, The New College Chief Guest Intro : Dr. S. Saradha , Associate Professor, SRMIST (F&H)

Agentic AI represents the next generation of Artificial Intelligence, where intelligent systems move beyond simply responding to user prompts and become capable of independently planning, reasoning, making decisions, and executing complex tasks to achieve specific goals. Unlike traditional AI systems that require continuous human guidance, Agentic AI can analyze situations, break large problems into smaller tasks, interact with multiple tools and applications, learn from feedback, and adapt its actions based on changing conditions. These intelligent agents combine technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs), machine learning, reasoning, memory, and automation to perform tasks with greater autonomy and efficiency. Agentic AI has applications across healthcare, finance, education, manufacturing, customer service, cybersecurity, and software development, where it can automate workflows, provide intelligent decision support, and improve productivity. As this technology continues to evolve, it is expected to transform the way humans interact with intelligent systems by enabling more personalized, reliable, and proactive assistance. However, responsible development, transparency, security, privacy, and ethical governance remain essential to ensure that Agentic AI is deployed safely and benefits individuals, organizations, and society.
