EduRev and Research-Oriented Learning

SUMMARY OF THE EVENT: 

The Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Scienceand Technology, Ramapuram, successfully organized a National Level Seminar on "EduRevandResearch-Oriented Learning" The Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram Campus, successfully organized a National Level Seminar on"EduRev and Research-Oriented Learning" on 14 July 2026 at the AV Hall. The seminar aimed to enhance participants' understanding of technology-enabled learning platforms, promote research-oriented education, and encourage the effective use of digital resources for academic excellence. The event brought together faculty members, research scholars, and students, providing an excellent platform for knowledge sharing and professional development. The inaugural session commenced with a warm welcome to the distinguished resource persons and participants. The first technical session was delivered by Dr. Amir Ahmad Dar, Assistant Professor, Department of Statistics and Data Science, Lovely Professional University, Punjab. He presented an insightful session on the EduRev platform, demonstrating its features, research support tools, and applications in teaching, learning, competitive examinations, and academic research. The session emphasized how digital learning platforms can foster self-directed learning and improve research productivity. The second technical session was delivered by Dr. S. Leoni Sharmila, Professor, Department of Mathematics, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS), Chennai. Her inspiring lecture focused on research, innovation, and emerging technologies in higher education. She encouraged participants to cultivate research aptitude, embrace interdisciplinary collaboration, and leverage technological advancements to contribute meaningfully to academia and society. Both sessions were highly interactive, with active participation from faculty members and students. The engaging discussions, practical insights, and expert guidance provided valuable exposure to the latest trends in research and digital education. The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks expressing sincere gratitude to the Management, Dean, Deputy Deans (Research, Academic, and Administration), Head of the Department, esteemed resource persons, organizing committee members, faculty coordinators, student volunteers, and all participants for their wholehearted support and contribution, which made the event a grand success. 

Objectives

  •  To promote research-oriented learning among faculty members and students. 
  •  To create awareness of emerging trends in research, innovation, and educational technology.
