The Department of Fashion Designing, Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, organized an engaging Workshop on Fashion Photography on 10th October 2025. The session was conducted by Mr. Harigaran and Ms. Sindhuja Shivaji, Assistant Professors from the Department of Visual Communication, who brought their expertise and creative insights into the world of fashion imagery.

The workshop focused on equipping students with essential skills in professional fashion photography, emphasizing techniques such as lighting balance, camera angles, model posing, and styling aesthetics. The resource persons guided students through various studio lighting setups, composition techniques, and visual storytelling methods used in contemporary fashion photography.

Students of B.Sc.  2nd year Fashion Designing actively participated in the session and were provided with opportunities to experiment with camera handling, backdrop setting, and creative direction. Through practical exercises, students captured fashion-oriented visuals, enhancing their confidence and technical competence in portraying garments effectively through the camera lens.
