The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication successfully organized a One-Day Research Methodology Workshop on 23 February 2026. The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Dr. V. Prabakaran, Head of Media Studies, and coordinated by Mr. Pranav M. Kiran and Dr. Satish Radhakrishnan, Assistant Professors. Around 35 students, research scholars, and faculty members actively participated in the programme. The sessions focused on enhancing participants' understanding of research design and methodology. A key highlight was the hands-on training in IBM SPSS for data analysis. Participants learned data coding techniques, data entry procedures, and basic statistical analysis methods. The practical sessions enabled attendees to apply research concepts using statistical software effectively. The workshop encouraged research-oriented thinking and strengthened analytical skills among participants. It also provided a valuable platform for academic learning and knowledge sharing. Overall, the programme successfully equipped participants with essential research and statistical competencies for academic and professional pursuits.
