The Department of Commerce – Shift II & Corporate Secretaryship, Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, successfully organized a two-day Industrial Visit to Lotte India Corporation, Chennai, on 10 & 11 July 2026.

The visit provided students with an excellent opportunity to gain practical exposure to the operations of a leading confectionery manufacturing company. Students observed various stages of the production process, quality control measures, packaging techniques, inventory management, supply chain operations, and workplace safety practices. They also interacted with industry professionals, gaining valuable insights into modern manufacturing technologies, organizational practices, and career opportunities in the FMCG sector.

The industrial visit effectively bridged the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world industrial practices, enhancing students' understanding of production management, business operations, and corporate work culture.
