SUMMARY OF THE EVENT:

The Department of Cyber Security organized a Guest Lecture on “AI and Cloud-Driven Cybersecurity: Emerging Technologies and Industry Trends” on 28th August 2026 at the AV Hall, Block V, for the First Year B.Sc. Cyber Security students.
The session was delivered by Ms. B. Hemalatha, Senior Technical Lead – Cloud Domain (Salesforce), HCLTech. She introduced students to the evolving landscape of cybersecurity and highlighted the growing role of Artificial Intelligence and Cloud Computing in modern cybersecurity practices. The session provided students with valuable insights into how emerging technologies are transforming the way organizations identify, prevent, and respond to cyber threats.
The speaker discussed important industry trends in AI-driven cybersecurity, cloud security, threat detection, data protection, and secure cloud environments. She emphasized the importance of developing strong technical skills and staying updated with rapidly evolving technologies. Students were also encouraged to gain practical exposure through hands-on projects, internships, certifications, and continuous learning to prepare themselves for cybersecurity careers.
