The Department of Commerce, Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, Chennai, under the Corporate Advisory Club, organized a Guest Lecture on "Company Secretaryship: Career Opportunities, Professional Growth, and Future Prospects" on 23.07.2026 from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. at Gallery Hall-1. The programme was conducted exclusively for II Yr B. Com and M. Com Students with the objective of creating awareness about the Company Secretary (CS) profession and providing students with a comprehensive understanding of the career opportunities, professional responsibilities, and future prospects available in the field of corporate governance and compliance. The session featured an eminent resource person, CS Naresh V.V, who shared valuable professional experiences and practical insights into the Company Secretary profession.

The session commenced with an introduction to the Company Secretary profession and its growing significance in today's corporate environment. The resource person explained the evolving role of Company Secretaries in ensuring corporate governance, legal compliance, regulatory management, and strategic decision-making within organizations.
