The Department of Fashion Designing, Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology – Ramapuram, organized a Trade Fair Visit to the B2B Wholesale Garment Expo'25 at Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam, on 13 August 2025. A total of 35 students, accompanied by the faculty coordinator, explored a wide range of exhibits featuring garments, fabrics, fashion accessories, textile innovations, and sustainable production practices. Students interacted with manufacturers, wholesalers, exporters, and industry experts to gain practical knowledge of wholesale business models, merchandising, sourcing, branding, and supply chain management. The visit also highlighted the integration of digital technologies in garment trade and the growing importance of sustainable and eco-friendly fashion. Overall, the event successfully bridged academic learning with industry practices, strengthened students' professional awareness, and motivated them to pursue careers in merchandising, sourcing, entrepreneurship, and the global apparel industry.
