Summary of the event

The Department of Cyber Security organized Cyber Awareness Memes as part of Cyber Awareness Month - CYBERNOVA’26 on 24th September 2026. Students of SRMIST Ramapuram were asked to participate actively and share creative memes based on cyber awareness.

Cyber awareness memes are creative and engaging visual content designed to spread awareness about cybersecurity threats and safe digital practices. Through humour, relatable situations, captions, and simple visuals, memes communicate important cyber safety messages in a format that is easy to understand and share, covering topics such as phishing, strong passwords, OTP safety, online scams, social media privacy, cyberbullying, malware, identity theft, fake links, and safe online transactions.

The main objective was to promote responsible, secure, and informed digital behaviour. Participants created original memes that highlight a cybersecurity issue with an appropriate safety message, encouraging them to Think Before You Click, Verify Before You Trust, and Stay Safe Online.
